Does the current title holder on a car need to be present at a notary for a title transfer in Pennsylvania?
If I purchase a car, and the current owner signs the title, can I take that signed title and the bill of sale to a notary for the title transfer? Or does the current title holder need to be present at the notary for the transfer to take place?
If the title requires notorization then YES, they must be present.
The whole purpose of a notary is to verify signatures. How can they verify the signature of someone who isn’t there.
